Third party programs?
I've read about Anet and their views on 3rd party programs (I think I remembering hearing "anything that doesn't interfere with the gw.dat file"?). I was browsing and saw this screen cap and was wondering what Anet's view is on things like this? I've just noticed this forum now, is everything in here "legit"? The spirit range indicator was what I was mainly interested in, so what is the general view on this?

Yes, everything in the Community Works has, if not approval, then at least no disapproval. ArenaNet does not support 3rd-party software, which means they won't help if it messes up your execute file for the game. All these programs have been extensively used and caused no problems. The main thing to remember is that any program that allows you to play the game without being at the computer and interacting with the game is not allowed.

Also be paranoid about key loggers. Even if the site is honest, they can accidentally distribute programs with key loggers that will steal your login information.
